TCOE Celebration for Academic Excellence

The Council of Elders of the Black Community of Howard County in partnership with the Howard County Public School System sponsors an annual Celebration of Academic Achievement to acknowledge and honor students of African and African-American heritage.
Swansfield 4th and 5th-grade students will be honored on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 7:00 pm at Howard High School.  Students being honored achieved the following levels of academic success during the 2017-18 school year:
  • Received a grade of "A" or "B" in all areas under language arts or mathematics for all four marking periods.
  • DId not receive any Ds or Es in any of the following subjects: language arts, mathematics, science, social studies and health education for all four quarters.
