Usain Bolt, widely considered to be the greatest sprinter of all time, was born in 1986 in Jamaica. Now retired, he is a world record holder in the 100 meters, 200 meters and 4×100 meter relay. A nine-time Olympic gold-medal winner, his achievements have earned him the nickname "Lightning Bolt''. He has also earned numerous awards for his sportsmanship.  Today, he runs a foundation dedicated to the creation of opportunities around the world through education and cultural development. He attributes his success to hard work and a positive attitude and has been quoted as saying:

  • “I know what I can do, so I never doubt myself.”
  • "Win from within."
  • "Worrying gets you nowhere. If you turn up worrying about how you're going to perform, you've already lost. Train hard, turn up, run your best and the rest will take care of itself."

Visitor Protocol Across School System

Visitors are not permitted under HCPSS Infectious Disease Plan. Exceptions are made for emergency services, contractors, and special situations. Facility special visitors will be limited and should occur by scheduled appointment only. No walk-in visitors are permitted. As much as possible, appointments to meet with parents and customers should be accommodated via telephone, video conference, or other suitable technology. When a face-to-face visit is necessary, the school or office must schedule an appointment time with the visitor and follow set steps outlined on page 23 of the Bridge to Normalized Instruction. When guidelines once again allow for in-person volunteers and/or visitors, the attached form must be completed to document visitors interacting with our learning environment.
