I am writing to inform you that Tuesday evening a report was received that the drinking water at Swansfield tasted unusual.  The HCPSS Office of School Facilities was immediately contacted and began conducting an investigation.  The water concern was isolated to the 4th and 5th grade pods - an area in which renovation was just completed.  As a precautionary measure, the water fountains in that area have been shut off and water coolers have been provided.
Water testing will be conducted on Friday, January 27.  The fountains will remain off until the water testing results indicate that the water is safe to consume.  Once this matter has been completely addressed, a final report will be posted to the school's website.
