This week, which is Computer Science Education Week, all classes will participate in an exciting initiative called Hour of Code.  Students will learn about computer programming (coding) and complete code-related activities in technology class. 

Howard County Public Schools and Code.org have formed a partnership and have agreed to have every school particiapte in the Hour of Code event!  Here at Swansfield, we've been doing the Hour of Code event even before the HCPSS partnership!  The students consistently seem to find these activities challenging, engaging and fun.  The learning (and fun) doesn't have to end when the school day ends.  Please visit the link below with your child and let them show you what they have learned about coding!
