Open House Tomorrow!
We are looking forward to seeing you at our Open House TOMORROW!
To allow for social distancing to the greatest extent possible, we have decided to split our families into two designated groups for Open House. We are asking all families to please attend at their assigned time to limit the number of people we have in the building/classrooms at one time. We appreciate your cooperation and our teachers look forward to seeing/meeting you!
Families with last names A - L
2:00-2:30: Join the PTA and teachers outside on the blacktop for a cool treat and free book
2:30-3:00: Go to your child(ren)’s classroom(s) for open house

Families who will be arriving early for Kindergarten Orientation or New Student Orientation will follow this schedule after their orientation is complete.
Have you completed the following three tasks?
Log in to www.hcpss.org/connect to complete or update your Family File. This will ensure we have accurate emergency and contact information on file. You can also stop by the front office or call 410-313-6907 and a secretary will assist you with updating the information.
Complete the SES Transportation Survey prior to Monday, August 30th
Complete the Lunch Survey - If you would like your child to eat outside (weather and staffing permitting), please complete this survey. All students without a completed survey will be seated inside the cafeteria.
Assigned Seating at Lunch
In order to navigate outdoor eating, indoor eating and seating charts, students in all grade levels will have assigned seats during lunch. Please know, our goal is for every student to be seated with preferred peers. Unfortunately, this may not be possible for the first few weeks of school. We ask for your patience as we work through families making selections of indoor/outdoor seating, working to ensure we have staffing to support both indoor and outdoor seating, and maintaining accurate seating charts for contact tracing purposes. Our goal is for students to ultimately pick their assigned seat and peers they will be next to. We will work to ensure this happens as quickly as we can.
Arrival & Dismissal Procedures
Look for an email on Friday, August 27th regarding our arrival and dismissal procedures. This information will also be posted on the school website.
Swansfield Staff – First Day Messages
Would you like to send an SES staff member a positive message for their first day of school? If so, fill out this survey by noon on Sunday and your message will be in their mailbox when they arrive Monday morning!
Kindergarten Families
We look forward to seeing our Kindergarten families for Kindergarten Orientation from 1pm-2pm tomorrow. A virtual option will be offered on 9/1 for families who are unable to attend, in person, tomorrow.
Families New to Swansfield
