Grade Level Instructional Activity Packet

In today’s daily folder, each child will receive a grade level instructional activity packet.  This guide provides grade-level, content-specific instructional activities to help keep students intellectually active while at home when schools are closed for inclement weather, during quarantine, or other unexpected events. The tasks that students complete at home will not be used as assessment or counted as part of the students’ grade.

Each instructional area has a “choice board” of task options. Each day, please help your child select a variety of tasks from each instructional area “choice board” including language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, related arts (Health/PE, Art, Music, Library Media, & Instructional Technology), and ESOL as appropriate.

Columbia Association Points Program

Columbia Association’s (CA) Points Program awards CA memberships to income-qualified students who meet academic and behavioral guidelines under a points system.  The CA Points Program was created as a way to motivate qualified students to excel in the classroom while working toward earning a CA Membership for themselves and their families.

To qualify for CA’s Points Program at Swansfield, students must be enrolled in grades 3-5 and also meet specific income requirements (through the completion of a Free and Reduced Meals Application).  If you are interested in this program please reach out to Pat Bratchie at patricia_bratchie@hcpss.org or call 410-313-6907.
