TCOE Celebration of Excellence

Congratulations to our Swans who were honored at The Council of Elders of the Black Community of Howard County Celebration of Excellence.

This annual event publicly acknowledges and honors students of African and African-American heritage who are currently in Grades 4–6 and earned a grade of “A” or “B” in mathematics and language arts and a “C” or better in science, social studies, and health education for all four quarters, during the 2020-2021 school year.  Students who were recognized this year were able to continue focusing their greatest efforts on academics, even during a worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. Using persistence, each student was able to reach excellence. This is truly an exceptional accomplishment!

Restorative Justice Peace Making Circle February 9, 2022

Swansfield staff would like to invite our families to join us in a special community building circle on February 9th at 6:30pm. Adopted from indigenous cultures, peacemaking circles bring people together in a way that builds trust and creates opportunities for connection, collaboration, and mutual understanding. Participants will sit together in a circle spaced 2-3 ft apart.  Please come experience the power of a circle.   If you are interested in participating, please sign up HERE.  We hope you will join us!
