Swansfield News 11.17.23

Good Afternoon SES Families,

We had an eventful week here at Swansfield. It was so much fun to see so many families during American Education Week. The students and staff loved having families in the building throughout the week. We also held awards assemblies for all grade levels K-5th. The students had a great deal to celebrate during the first quarter and it was our honor to celebrate them.

Please remember that next Monday and Tuesday are half days for students due to parent & teacher conferences. We will dismiss at 12:15pm. There will be no school Wednesday - Friday.

Hope everyone has a relaxing weekend! ~ Anthony J Esposito, Principal

Important Dates

  • November 20th - 21st - Three Hour Early Dismissal / Parent Teacher Conferences
  • November 22nd - Schools Closed for students / Parent Teacher Conferences

New Information

Family-School Compact & Plan

This week, your child should have received a copy of our SES Title I Family-School Compact & Plan in their take-home folder. Please take a look! There are ELA and Math statements of commitment for staff, grade-level goals for students, and ways for families to get involved at the school.

A Family-School Compact & Plan is an agreement between families, students, and teachers that is jointly developed and distributed to all families. It explains how families, students, and teachers will work together to develop a family-school partnership to make sure all students are met with success, and get the support they need to achieve grade level goals.

We welcome your ideas and input into the compact and plan for achievement; as well as our family involvement budget, and ideas for how we can work together as equal partners. For feedback and suggestions please reach out to a Title I Teacher (Carolyn Haas) or Family Involvement Contact (Deborah Slater).  Contact information for each staff member can be found on the SES Title I website at http://ses.hcpss.org/about/title-i-program
