Dear Swansfield Community,
As we head into Spring Break, we want to wish all of our Swansfield families a joyful, safe, and fun-filled week! This is such a special time to relax, recharge, and enjoy meaningful moments with family and friends—whether you’re traveling, exploring something new, or simply enjoying some well-deserved downtime at home.
We hope this break brings plenty of laughter, sunshine, and opportunities to create lasting memories. Taking time to rest and reset is so important, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back feeling refreshed, re-energized, and ready for an exciting spring season at school.
The Swansfield PTA has a fantastic lineup of events and activities planned for the weeks ahead, and there will be many opportunities for students and families to connect, celebrate, and have fun together. This spring is shaping up to be full of memorable moments you won’t want to miss!
Thank you for your continued support and involvement in making our school community vibrant and strong. Have an amazing Spring Break, stay safe, and we look forward to seeing all of our smiling faces back soon—ready for a season full of fun, learning, and Swansfield spirit!
Thank you,
Emily Rieger

Save the Date for the 2026 Science Fair
The Swansfield Science Fair will take place in-person on Thursday, May 28th during our Evening with the Stars.
The science fair will include the opportunity for students to present their science fair project on a trifold board (provided by the PTA for students that sign up). Projects will be judged during the fair with awards issued and prizes for all participating students awarded after the fair.
If your child is interested in participating, you must fill out the Science Fair Interest Form. If you have more than one student, please fill out a separate entry for each student participating.
For more information on participating check out:
- Science Fair Student Packet - includes written step-by-step directions on how to formulate a science fair project and lay out your trifold board
- Science Fair workshop video - includes recorded information on how to come up with a good question, hypothesis and way to test your hypothesis (only 14 minutes long!)
- Science Fair consult (optional) - if your student is feeling unsure about their project, they can opt to participate in a 15-minute consult with a science-loving adult (virtual and in-person options available) to discuss their project and get feedback. Please indicate your student’s interest in this option when signing them up for the science fair on the science fair interest form.
If you want to volunteer, we will need parent judges for the night of the fair and science-loving adults for the student project consults! We also welcome any members to join the science fair committee. Please let us know if you can help as a volunteer on the volunteer sign up form.

We’re hoping to collect 1000 pounds as we have done in the past two years. We need volunteers to pick up the plastic in the vestibule at the front of the school on Thursdays and bring it to Giant. Please look at the sign-up sheet below to pick a day, or two, if you may be able to help. Thank you so much!
