Good Afternoon Swansfield,
I would like to thank all of the families that attended our winter concert last night at Wilde Lake HS. As usual the students were amazing. A special thank you to Ms. Pearson, Mr. Marini, Ms. Yeoh, and Mr. Rea for all their hard work and dedication to our students. The winter concert is usually a warm-up for the spring concert, so I can’t wait to see what that holds.
I also wanted to take this opportunity to share that Mrs. Patricia Bratchie, one of our teacher’s secretaries, made the decision to retire effective January 1, 2026. In typical Mrs. Bratchie fashion, she wanted to end her career quietly and did not want to be recognized, although we found ways as a staff to show her our appreciation. For those that have stopped by the school during the month of January, you have been greeted by a familiar face. Our new teacher’s secretary is Mrs. Deborah Slater. Mrs. Slater has worked at SES for the past 10 years as our family involvement liaison. Anyone that’s had the opportunity to interact with Mrs. Slater understands just how patient and positive she is and we feel fortunate to have her serve in this new role. Please join me in welcoming Mrs. Slater to our front office team!

Parent Teacher Conference Registration Opens Jan. 22
Parent/teacher conferences will be held on Thursday, Feb. 5 and Friday, Feb. 6. Afternoon conferences on Feb. 5 will be held in-person; evening conferences that day will be held virtually. All conferences on Feb. 6 will be held virtually. Families may login into HCPSS Connect Synergy to schedule conferences from 8 a.m., Jan. 22 through 4 p.m., Jan. 30.
Lost and Found
Our Lost and Found is growing! We currently have coats and other items waiting to be claimed! Please remind students to check for missing belongings. Any unclaimed items will be donated after February 20th.
