I hope this communication finds you well. We had another busy week at Swansfield Elementary.
A special shout out to our 5th grade students that took part in MISA testing this week. They were determined and focused during the testing block. I would like to also provide a special thank you to the 5th grade teachers for their flexibility during this time. As we all know, testing would not have taken place without the organization and teamwork of our amazing assistant principals, Mr. Carter & Mrs. Madden!

New Information
Kindergarten Registration Opens March 4
Registration for the 2024-2025 school year begins March 4, 2024. Parents/guardians of children who will be five on or before September 1, 2024, must enroll their children in kindergarten for the 2024-2025 school year. Current HCPSS prekindergarten students do not need to register for kindergarten.
Volunteer Judges Needed for Simulated Congressional Hearings
HCPSS seeks community members to serve as judges in the annual Simulated Congressional Hearings, being held at elementary schools across the county from May 3 to June 6. The hearings are the culmination of fifth grade students’ social studies instruction. Interested community members should complete the online registration form to indicate their preferred hearing dates and locations.

SES FUN RUN: APRIL 27
Lace up your shoes and get ready for the first SES Fun Run on Saturday, April 27 at 9 a.m. The P.E. department and PTA are hosting a morning full of activities, including the one-mile Fun Run course, to raise funds for SES Field Day and P.E. equipment. The event is open to those of all abilities (walkers and runners welcome) and is open to students, families and the community.
